Graduation Transitions can be fulfilled using a variety of experiences:

  • Ministry courses
  • external courses
  • independent directed studies
  • board authorized courses
  • independent self-directed learning outside the classroom


Components of Graduation Transitions:

  • Personal Health (demonstrating a commitment to fitness, personal life management and physical and emotional well-being)
  • Community Connections (gain employability skills through meaningful work experience)
  • Transition Planning (explore personal and career goals - create a plan for life after graduation)


Personal Health:

  • Engage in at least 80 hours of regular physical activity in addition to PE 10.
  • Develop a healthy living plan.

Community Connections:

  • Participate in at least 30 hours of work experience and/or community service
  • On the Job - Describe duties performed and relate them to employability and life skills
  • Volunteer work - If you participated in a community event, how did it benefit the community and how did it benefit you?

Transition Planning:

  • What are you planning to do?
  • Where will you pursue your plan?
  • Why have you decided on that particular route?
  • How will you fulfill your plan?
